Throw Away Art

I started painting on cardboard, down in my basement where no one would see. I loved mixing colors and seeing how the melded together. I would paint on cardboard and throw it away as soon as I was finished, thus beginning my painting career. I used children's paints, you know the finger painting kind. Anyone can paint and it's the process that is the most exciting. I had to let go of the idea that I couldn't paint and that I would never be an artist.
